No decision on PAMF building project

After a lengthy discussion and debate on the proposed design of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation's two-story medical office building on 715 Altos Oaks Dr., the Los Altos Planning Commission Thursday unanimously agreed not to vote on it but instead, requested the foundation's representatives to return for a study session for more detailed revision of the plan. The proposed design for the new Palo Alto Medical Foundation plastic surgery center on Altos Oaks Drive in Los Altos needs a major facelift.

Members of the Los Altos Planning Commission Thursday agreed with residents that the design for the new two-story medical office building proposed for 715 Altos Oaks Drive does not conform with the residential look of the neighborhood and requires revision. Commissioners and foundation representatives are scheduled to address and modify design elements at a joint study session at a later date.

While an influx of traffic typically characterizes the end of the school day on most campuses, not everyone in the Tuesday carpool line at Bubb Elementary School in Mountain View is there just to pick up a student. In fact, many queue up to do a bit of shopping.

Each week, Peter Trembois – Farmer Pete to his regulars – sets up a mini farmers’ market at six schools in Los Altos and Mountain View as part of his Community Sustainable Agriculture program.
